ALL MONTH Kites at the Museum Owls Head, ME – The Owls Head Transportation Museum will hold its annual Kite Week April 17 through 21, with workshops that combine puzzle-solving, craft-making and the joy of kite-flying.

Each day features a different type of kite, and workshops throughout the week accommodate a variety of skill levels and ages. There are two sessions each day, Monday through Thursday, one at 10 a.m. and one at 1 p.m., and one session on Friday at 10 a.m. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The workshops are free to the public and materials are provided (suggested donation: $5). Pre-registration is strongly recommended, as seating is limited. General registration opens Monday, April 3.

Saturday, April 1, 2017 Indoor Kite Fly with Kites over New England Kite Club Dedham, MA – This is an opportunity to sharpen your skills if you intend on competing at the nationals. There will be a minimal fee to cover the hall rental fee. This will divided among the flyers.

Monday, April 3, 2017 Kite Day at Lincoln Elementary School Lincoln, MA – This event is for the students of the school and is not open to the public.
Saturday, April 8, 2017 Kite Workshop at Mechanicville Public Library Machnicville, NY – A presentation all about kites. Each child that attends will receive a kite to take home. Open to children in grades kindergarten and up. Registration is required, so please stop in or call us at 664-4646. mechanicville.sals.edu/
Wednesday, April 12, 2017 Hanscom AFB Elementary School Kite Day Hanscom AFB, MA – 3rd Grade class Kite Day. Kite demonstrations, building, history, geography, arts and science of kites. Indoor and outdoor kite flying. This is a private event.
Saturday, April 22, 2017 Kite Day at Cogswell Grant Essex, MA – 4th annual “Kite Day at Cogswell Grant”
A day of kite flying, kite making, fun and games. Food and drink will be served. Bol racing, bubbles, candy drops. Rain date will be Sunday, April 23, 2017
