National Kite Month Proclamation
Requesting a proclamation is a great way to get support for your kiting events during National Kite Month. The National Kite Month Committee will file the requests with the Governors of each state and a copy will be available for your use.
Below you will find a sample letter of introduction and a sample proclamation that you can use to submit your request to your local administrator. Requests may be submitted by filing a form on the local website, by email or in person depending on the local requirements. You might consider including a flyers for your event and an invitation to your administrator inviting them to take part in your activity. You may request to have the proclamation mailed to you or in many cases you can have the event organizers receive it as part of a photo opportunity.
The original or a color copy should be forwarded to the committee for display at the National Convention in October. AKA Members who submit proclamations will be entered to win a prize package awarded at the National Convention in October. Multiple entries are encouraged.
